Batik on rice paper
| Batik on
rice paper has been used as an instrument to bring students together to
experiment on the easy co-existent way of life of the African people.
15 High Mowing School Students were at Pear Tree Studio for six days,
Project week, organized by Marcy Schepker. The project week created opportunity
for learning the traditional Nigerian batik making and also learning about
life in the Yoruba Culture . |

Various methods
of batik and tye-dye Illustration could also be presented and practiced.
Different ways of waxing and folding are explored.
The workshops will be adjusted in duration and style to
the age and size of the group.
